If you suffer from premenstrual tension
you should try to keep a chart of your menstrual periods for six months
or so to give you some guide as to when the symptoms are likely to
occur:
-
Anticipate these few days before a period
by taking life more easily, dropping inessential tasks and practicing
relaxation diligently each day. You are likely to feel well and
free from these symptoms during the rest of the cycle, so let your hair
down then and have a good time to make up.
-
There are some women, however, especially
the excitable ones, whose periods are exasperatingly unpredictable.
They may find it worth trying the method of feeling for the pain
trigger areas in the temples and neck which often indicate water
retention and tension.
-
Some women who have premenstrual tension
say that they now try to use their heightened emotions and harness them
creatively when their ups and downs are exaggerated.
