Relaxation Exercise For Abdomen And Back

Lie on you back and place the palms down naturally.  After ten minutes of relaxation, draw in the abdominal muscles for fifteen seconds.  Note the sensation of tension over the entire front of the abdomen.  Let the abdomen go and relax for about five minutes. Thereafter:

  • Repeat the above tension exercise and then relax for about five minutes.

  • Arch the back for about fifteen seconds. 

  • Note the tension along both sides of the spine.

  • Let the back go and relax for about five minutes.

  • Repeat the arching the back process as mentioned above. 

  • Relax completely for remainder of period.

Remember : Keep arms, legs and chest completely relaxed while learning to relax the abdomen and back.
