How To Get A Good Sleep

Inactivity is the precursor of sleep so slow down your mental and physical activity as bedtime approaches. Avoid any intensive mental work or arguments just before bedtime and unwind in your favorite way. Although daytime exercise is a help in making you feel tired, there is now evidence to show that the old advice to take
exercise just before retiring was wrong for poor sleepers (except for sexual activity which, if it is satisfactory, leads a man to sleep though it may leave a woman awake; for a while in pleasant reverie).

 

 

Prepare For Drowsiness

Bedtime routines help drowsiness by reducing alertness so go slowly through your usual undemanding routines. Many people find a moderately hot bath helps them to unwind, but a really hot one is over stimulating. If you read to help yourself to forget your problems, don't use your usual sleeping position for this, save that only for sleeping.
